What is  Pilates?

Pilates is a  total mind-body conditioning method that works by building strength from the  inside-out.  It is an exercise program based on developing your deep stomach and  back muscle to create a stable central core from which you will develop  flexibility, strength, tone and correct posture.

Rebalancing  your body and focusing your mind will give you a more confident body image and  release unwanted stress and tension.

Who is it for?

Pilates is  suitable for all ages and fitness levels.  Whilst it is perfect for atheletes  looking to enhance their performance and avoid the risk of injury, its slow  controlled approach means it is also suitable for first-time exercisers.  It is  particularly suitable for those who suffer from chronic back and neck pain,  sports injuries, osteoporosis , osteoarthritis, womens health problems,  repetitive strain injury, stress related injuries and ME.

The  Benefits of Pilates

Pilates is now  well recognised and respected to form a key role in many rehabilitation  programs.  It is especially recommended by medical specialists for those  with back and neck problems.  Once treated by our clinicians Pilates is an  excellent way to rehabilitate and to prevent recurrence of further injury and  pain.
