Lisa Fitz-Gerald MCSP SRP BSC
Lisa was qualified as a state-registered chartered Physiotherapist in 1992 from Bath School of Physiotherapy. She worked in Southampton General Hospital for five years and has since been working as a senior Physiotherapist in Fordingbridge Hospital Outpatient Department as well as in the private sector. She has specialised in musculoskeletal dysfunction and sports injuries. Her skills have been expanded and practised over the years through a continuous policy of professional development and she can offer patients thorough assessments and a wide variety of treatments including acupuncture which are both effective and innovative.
Lisa became interested in Pilates three years ago and has used Pilates as a form of rehabilitation exercise for her patients and herself. She is currently increasing her Pilates training with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute to ensure her patients receive the best follow-up care. "I believe that with the correct assessment and detailed rehabilitation including Pilates based exercise programs, patients can return from pain and injury to enjoy a full and healthy normal life."

Georgina Sayer
Georgina trained as a Pilates teacher in 2000 and has since taught in the UK, the Middle East and Australia. She gained her qualifications with the Body Control Pilates Academy in Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Matwork as well as Machine Work and Pre- and Post-Natal.
She is incredibly passionate about the way the body moves and works, and aims to make all her lessons enjoyable, challenging, informative and effective. She is also a qualified first aider and fully insured.

Nikky Godfrey
Nikky qualified as a Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates®, and is registered as a Level 3 Pilates Instructor on the Register of Exercise Professionals.
Having worked previously in the natural health industry, and in addition holding a Diploma in Massage Therapy, Nikky understands the key importance of maintaining balance within the body. The desire to find a balanced yet highly effective approach to exercise led her to Pilates classes. With the positive effects on her own body, alongside the medical approval Pilates enjoys, Nikky’s interest grew in the holistic foundations of the Pilates method with its goal of strengthening core postural muscles and developing body alignment and awareness. From there it was a natural progression to train as a teacher.

Caroline Grant
Caroline has been in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor for five years. She initially trained at the American College of Sports Medicine at Brunel University and then continued her training at St Mary’s College in Twickenham, to qualify as a Sports Therapist in 2001. She has worked locally in private physiotherapy practices and understands the important role of massage within a rehabilitation program. She is also currently training as a Body Control Pilates teacher and therefore will complement our staff and ethics.
Massage has been an important adjunct for the treatment of many musculoskeletal problems. It is a versatile and effective treatment which will not only promote a better physical well-being, but will also help our minds to relax to cope with everyday pressures. Massage is known to increase circulation, promote natural morphine like substance release, reduce scar tissue and increase tissue flexibility. Sports therapy massage is much deeper than other massages but can be adapted to suit individual needs. It is suitable for all ages and for all kinds of ailments. In particular it helps those with general aches and pains, stress related pains, back or neck pain, headaches, old injuries or re-occurring problems. Caroline is happy to listen to your needs and adapt her skills for your benefit.

Hazel Mills
Hazel has been teaching within the fitness industry for over 20 years, originally as a freelance aerobics instructor teaching a wide variety of classes including bodypump, bodybalance, step, spinning and a range of body conditioning classes. She first took an interest in Pilates after an injury incurred whilst teaching a high impact aerobics class. Hazel fell in love with Pilates and the whole concept of it. Her interest in Pilates grew and still continues to do so. Hazel took a further interest in rehabilitation and wanted to help people with specific problems and injuries. She was fortunate to be offered work in a rehabilitation clinic where she had the opportunity to work with neck and back patients and sports related injuries, all of which worked so well together with her previous training and Pilates teaching. Hazel believes Pilates is a great form of exercise for everybody, seeing the benefits in individuals from seniors to sportspeople to anti/postnatal woman to rehabilitation.

Julie Ashworth Julie has practised pilates since 1998. A history of back pain led to her discovery of the method and the impressive results she obtained from the exercises made her keen to share what she had learned.Previously a teacher, she decided to make a career change and trained with Body Control Pilates®. She is registered as a Level 3 Advanced Instructor on the Register of Exercise Professionals and is currently working towards further machine work qualifications. Julie brings her teaching skills, clarity of communication and natural enthusiasm to all forms of pilates but particularly enjoys teaching clients on an individual basis as progress is swift under detailed instruction.

Jane Bray
Jane qualified as a podiatrist from Southampton University and has recently been concentrating on expanding her private practice, offering Podiatric and Chiropody treatments as well as Reflexology.
Jane is able to offer a wide range of chiropody and podiatric treatments including comprehensive foot health assessments and biomechanics assessments. She is also able to diagnose and treat foot complaints such as toenail problems, corns, callus and foot pain.
Jane also has over 14 years experience as a Reflexologist and has particular interest and specialities in cancer care and Maternity Reflexology. Previous to studying Podiatry, Jane had a long career in nursing in the NHS, becoming a Nursing Sister in Specialist Palliative Care, where she was able to combine Reflexology into her practice.
Being able to offer Reflexology and Podiatry / Chiropody enables Jane to adopt a more holistic approach to foot care and foot health.
